GRiP4 - The Latest...

Blog entry

As noted in my other blog, I've spent most of the last month rebuilding the RPGRealms website into this new fangled site we have now. Personally I'm rather pleased at how it's coming along, but that's not what this blog post is about. You're interested in GRiP. Don't worry, so am I!

Now that the site is back on its feet and has been poised to be "enhanced" with new GRiP related features down the road, I am turning my full-time attention on GRiP 4.0. To that end I've put together this User's Group which will now become the main home/website for GRiP. You'll be able to find the latest news, downloads, blog posts, forum topics, and more. From here you will also always be able to download and install the latest version of GRiP and more importantly as we are currently in beta testing, a centralized place to report bugs and other issues with GRiP. The most current version available at the time of this post is 4.0.68 (beta). Feel free to grab a copy and start testing!

Currently only the main GRiPNet module is available, along with 3 basic games that you can play. So you can host and play those games, but at the moment you can't create new games or edit the existing games. For that you'll need the Object Builder and the Game Designer, which should follow along in the next few weeks. They are quite functional at the moment on my test systems, but they need a few more tweaks before I release them for public testing and reporting. Getting those two tools out and trying to clear out as many bugs as possible are my primary focus at the moment.

So grab your copy of GRiP and let me know what you think!
