Age Requirement
You must be 13 years of age or older to access and use the RPGRealms.com website. While we try to keep the site at a respectable PG13 level, we cannot guarantee that material that might be objectional to younger viewers might not be posted and made available to our viewers, particularly given the nature of some types of games that are discussed and supported here.
Non-personalized Information
Like almost all website, RPGRealms collects non-identifiable information such as the browser being used, referring site, time and date of the visit, and error messages as a routine and standard operation of its servers. This information is used to track overall visitor usage, maintain website stability, and let us know when users may be encountering problems. Occassionaly we may aggregate and post this data as a public log of overall usage on the site.
Potentially Indentifiable Information
The RPGRealms servers collect potentially personally-indentifiable information in the form the IP (Internet Protocol) address you use when you visit the site. IP addresses are never made publicly available and are only viewable by authorized RPGRealms staff.
Required Personal Information
While we strive to require as little as possible, we do require some personally-identifying information from you when you register as a free member, including a username and a valid email account. Purchases made through the RPGRealms online store will require further personal information that will be stored, including any shipping and billing addresses you may use when making a purchases, as well as a copy of the purchase order information for our records and history. No credit card, banking, or other personal finacial information are ever collected or stored by the RPGRealms website. All transactions are handled via PayPal and their secure payment servers. Of this required information only the username you choose will be made publicly available for all visitors to see. You may select any username you wish, subject to availability and suitability. Your email address will never be revealed unless you choose to make it visible to anyone other than yourself and the site staff. All other information is only viewable by authorized members of the RPGRealms staff.
Voluntarilly Revealed Personal Information
Some areas of the website, your personal profile in particular, contain areas that will collect further personally-identifiable information from you, but only if you choose to make such information available. Please use appropriate caution when revealing anything about yourself. This information may be see by all or some visitors to the site other than yourself and the staff, depending on what privacy settings you apply to the information. Staff Access to Information
Information stored on our servers is only made available to staff as needed to perform their duties in the maintenance and operation of the website and online store. Access to information outside of the scope of their specific duties is restricted. All staff have agreed to keep any user data they may have access to under strict confidence and not reveal it to others. Some staff may reside outside of your country and will require this data be tranmitted to them in the performance of their duties. You understand and agree to the transmission of this date under the terms of this agreement.
Sale or Sharing of Collected Information
Except as part of the transfer of assets as part of the sale of this website to another owner, under no circumstance shall the RPGRealms website owners or staff, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any personally-identifying information to any 3rd party for any reason.
Claims of Ownership
While RPGRealms makes no claim of copyright or ownership of any material posted by users on this website, user agree that they have the legal right and authority to (i) post the information to our website and make it potentially publicly available to others (ii) grant RPGRealms and its successors, the unlimited, perpetual license to host, maintain, and/or electronically publish the data, should they so choose, without royalty or other charge.
Cookies
